At what point during the interview did you realize you weren't getting the job?

I can answer this as an interviewer, and also as a consultant who’s sold professional services for 30 years. If there is a point where either you or the interviewer “disconnects” that’s likely it. Whatever energy there was diminishes, or the level of attention (again, for either person) wanes. Outstanding interviewers (one worked for me) are able to hide this response, but most cannot.
